Sec-TA is heading to Copenhagen 🇩🇰 for the Copenhagen Democracy Summit 2026 as part of the Alliance of Democracies Foundation Fellowship.
This year, our focus is clear: showing how cybersecurity infrastructure can help protect democratic processes in an environment where cyberattacks, disinformation, infrastructure disruption, and hybrid threats have become part of everyday reality.
For Ukraine, this is not a theoretical discussion.
It is lived experience.
Democracy Needs Cyber Resilience
Modern democracy depends on digital infrastructure.
Public institutions, elections, communications, media, critical infrastructure, and citizen services are all connected to technology. When these systems are disrupted or compromised, the consequences go far beyond IT.

The message behind those words feels particularly relevant to Ukrainian founders today. History is rarely shaped by spectators. It is shaped by people who are willing to enter the arena despite uncertainty, pressure, criticism, and the possibility of failure.
For Ukrainian technology companies, that arena is very real. We build during missile attacks, work through blackouts, operate during cyberwarfare, and continue developing technology while disinformation campaigns attempt to destabilize society from within.
And despite all of this, Ukrainian founders keep building. That experience changes people and companies. It creates a different level of resilience, execution speed, responsibility, and understanding of what technology must deliver when failure has real consequences.

Being part of the Alliance of Democracies Foundation Fellowship gives Ukrainian founders the opportunity to take part directly in the global conversation about democracy, security, and the future of technology.
